Wood 

Emperion uses only the best select tone woods to enhance the sound and appeal of each instrument. Our instrument line features carefully selected Alder is used on the body to produce a tight and defined sound, and North American Hard Rock Maple provides a bright articulate tone. In addition a fingerboard of selected Ebony adds a warm vibe and density to the overall tone response of the instrument.

Selected Mahogany wood is used both on body and neck on some Emperion Revo models to satisfy the customer’s demand for a darker and heavier sound with rounded edges. Our full line features Walnut stripes on neck thru guitars and maple fretboards as well.

Speed Access set neck joint

This kind of set-neck construction technique gives you the look and feel of a neck-thru-body design while maintaining the warmth and wood tone combinations of a set-neck instrument. Access to the upper frets is as much comfortable as possible. And the old traditional “bulky” set-neck heel is gone.

Neck-thru-body and String-thru-body

With Neck-thru-body construction the strings, fretboard, pickups and bridge are all mounted on the same piece of wood enhancing tone and sustain. We feature a walnut-maple neck thru construction and thanks its excellent stability and reaction to string tension and pressure makes the guitar more sturdy than many other guitars on the market. If you add a string-thru-body configuration where string actually “sink” into the body you’ll have the maximum sustain possible with a great harmonic resonance for a deep “chunky” sound.

Double action super truss rod

 

 

All Emperion Revo instruments are built using a dual action adjusting truss rod. This is a further development against the “double” action truss rod which works both ways but not all the way thru the truss rod’s length, the dual action truss rod works all the way down it’s length both ways giving the guitar ultimate stability and versatility when using even extremely dropped down tunings. Unlike a single-adjusting truss rod which is still commonly used on many other manufacturers instruments, the two-way one is adjustable both clockwise and counter-clockwise. With a single-adjusting truss rod, once you loosen the nut all the way, that is it. You are left with no more adjustment this can leave your instrument unplayable if the neck cannot be adjusted properly. By using a 2-way truss rod we have eliminated the possibility of that ever happening.

 

Fretboard Radius

All Emperion Revo instruments have a 12″ radius fretboard, this is the best choice both for Original Floyd Rose compatibility and the most comfortable one. This feature allows you to play killer rhythms or shredding solos without fatiguing your fingers. We’ve chosen this against the conical shape fretboard. The conical shape one has a substantial weak point: when fret leveling is carried out it is impossible to level the frets following the conical shape of the fretboard, therefore every conical fretboard guitar does not have the frets leveled following it’s shape, making the conical fretboard shape advantages ineffective.

Fret Wire

All Emperion Revo instruments feature Dunlop extra jumbo frets (not stainless steel). This has been chosen against stainless steel frets because the stainless steel ones provoke way too many string breakage  problems with offering only a modest increase in fretwire durability.

Horizon pickups

Horizon Pickups is a young and dynamic entity but with a significant experience in the pickup realization field. Horizon is based in Modena (ITALY) and their aim is to produce great sounding pickups at the most reasonable price possible! Using only the finest materials, our pickups feature high-end Ceramic or Alnico 5 magnets and are carefully wax potted to prevent microphony Horizon Pickups are the perfect fit for Emperion Guitars.

Graphite nut

All of our instruments feature a self-lubricating Graphite Nut that further ensures increased sustain and vibration through improved transfer of energy to the neck, not to mention less friction to maintain a great tuning stability and avoid string breakage.

Have you ever broken a jack pipe or input jack on your “superstrat” shape guitar ? If you’re familiar with that guitar shape the answer will be most likely be “yes, that sucks !”. We’ve resolved it ! One of our staff guys came to us with this great idea taken from his previous experience as guitar builder. With the input jack routing we’ve developed the problem has been resolved in the most comfortable way.

 

 

Locking tuners (Made In Korea)

 

All Emperion Revo instruments feature locking tuners (made in Korea) by a top quality producer of tuning machines that is the supplier of other well known top brands in the guitar industry, this feature in addition to graphite nut grants the perfect tuning stability for your instrument and avoid string breakage problems at its finest.

Wilkinson locking roller bridge

Emperion Revo instruments (6 string) features the Wilkinson-GOTOH locking roller bridge, a solid machined brass bridge with roller saddles to avoid string breakage and a lot of room to achieve the perfect intonation. Moreover the bridge is locked to the studs achieving the ultimate sustain. All other fixed bridge Emperion Revo instruments (7 string) feature a top quality TOM style bridge.

Original Floyd Rose

We haven chosen to use the Original Floyd Rose on tremolo equipped guitars instead of a licensed model. That is simply explained: no licensed model can provide the same excellent build quality, materials and stability of a Original Floyd Rose, so you can get a tremolo equipped guitar that stays in tune, provides great sustain and rich sound. Not to mention the so famous flutter effect that you can experience only with a Original Floyd Rose tremolo system.

Emperion Guitars cases

Emperion Guitars cases are made of high grade plywood, plush lining to reduce interior movement. The outer finish is a black tolex for our standard rectangular cases or brown for the special rigid archtop case. Moreover every Emperion guitar comes with free hardcase included!
